Notes:
These steps are different than the service Manual. Do not follow service Manual steps. Steps for starting your pro r stage 3 and above for the first time.
- Roll the engine over by hand at least 10 revolutions clockwise when looking at it from the rear.
- Check cam timing to make sure it is correct
- Make sure coolant and oil is at the correct level.
- Start the engine and hold above 2000RPM until it reaches 170 degrees f.
- Using the throttle drop RPM 50 RPM per 30 seconds until idle seems unstable.
- Stay at the unstable RPM until it becomes stable and then repeat step 5.
- Once the machine is idling at 1450 stable with no throttle input let sit and idle for 10-15 minutes.
- Your machine is now ready to ride.
- On higher duration cams it is common to need to give a little throttle to start the vehicle this is completely normal
